Dr. Lauri Barge

Dr. Barge first became interested in dentistry when she was a teenager and had to undergo jaw surgery. During her undergraduate career, she ended up working for the surgeon who performed her procedure. Through this experience, she knew she wanted to pursue dentistry as a career herself, and she hasn’t looked back!

After graduating from the University of Texas at Arlington, Dr. Barge pursued her dental doctorate at Texas A&M College of Dentistry. Since then, she has remained committed to continuing education. Currently, she is a proud member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

When she isn’t busy treating patients at the dental office, Dr. Barge is spending time with her husband, Devin, and children, Taylor and Coleman. During her free time, you can find her traveling, antiquing, interior decorating, and watching movies.

“I’ve been seeing Dr. Barge for over 6 years and always have the most pleasant experience. Her dental hygienists are so friendly and professional. They put me at ease and make me feel comfortable to be myself. I’ve had a good experience with dental procedures as well. Again, Dr. Barge puts her patients at ease as does her staff. The dental procedures I’ve had done are all high quality and stand the test of time. However, I’ll keep going back because of the kind, friendly attitude of all of her staff. This includes the office staff who work hard to not only get appointments set up, but also handle billing flawlessly. I can’t think of a better dental practice than this!”

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find the best place to get dental work done?

Caring for your teeth and gums can be an incredibly personal endeavor, and it’s natural to want to find a provider you trust to do the job correctly. But you might feel too overwhelmed or intimidated to pick one when there are so many providers available near Double Oak.

If you’re unsure how to find the best dentist to meet your needs, it might help to list your top priorities when it comes to your dental care. For example, do you need a provider who works with patients of all ages? Are you seeking someone who is considered in-network with your dental insurance plan? Do you anticipate needing specific services or procedures? Listing your main goals can help you find someone who checks off all the right boxes.

How much does a dental checkup and cleaning cost near Double Oak, TX?

The American Dental Association recommends getting a routine checkup and cleaning every six months to prevent common dental concerns, such as gum disease, tooth decay, or injured enamel. But you might avoid scheduling standard visits if you’re unsure how much they cost.

Typically, you can expect to spend anywhere from $150 to $400 for a basic exam and cleaning near Double Oak. However, the amount can vary significantly based on your unique circumstances. For instance, if you have dental insurance, you might not owe any out-of-pocket costs, but if Dr. Barge finds issues requiring treatment, you’ll be responsible for the cost of the additional procedures.

What are the options for addressing dental anxiety?

It’s normal to feel anxious if you have an upcoming procedure that has the potential to be long or uncomfortable, but you might avoid necessary treatments if you’re overly afraid. Dr. Barge and the rest of our team near Double Oak don’t want your frayed nerves to get in the way of receiving the top-quality dental healthcare services needed to protect and preserve your smile.

As a result, we offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) or oral conscious sedation to help you feel calm and relaxed throughout your visit, regardless of the reason for it.

What do you do if you can’t afford dental services?

Investing in routine preventive care can strengthen your smile, which helps prevent the need for more complex and costly repairs and restorations. But even standard services can add up quickly, especially if you don’t have coverage to help reduce out-of-pocket expenses.

If you’re worried about affording the required procedures, you might benefit from one of the following options:

  • In-House Membership. We have tiered memberships available for a low monthly or annual fee that include routine cleanings, exams, X-rays, and more!
  • Flexible Financing. We also partner with CareCredit to offer little-to-no-interest payment plans that allow you to divide your invoice into more manageable installments over a designated period if your application is approved.
